1) All radiation data at Fukushima
Daiichi would be disclosed;
2) Data will be disclosed on TEPCO’s
website, and data which may raise
public concern will be explained at
press conferences;
3) TEPCO’s new information disclosure
rules and implementations will be
checked and evaluated continuously
by external parties.
In addition, the function of TEPCO’s
Social Communication Office and Risk
Communicators, both of which had been
established based on the lessons learned
from the Fukushima accident, would
be strengthened to improve the mind-
set concerning information disclosure
throughout the TEPCO organization.
TEPCO will also enhance interactions
with various stakeholders including
community
residents
and
create
opportunities to hear opinions of, and
receive advice from them.

Concluding remarks.
TEPCO appreciates all of the support
that we have been receiving from the
international community since the wake
of the accident, not only during the time
of immediate accident response but also
throughout the recovery and stabilization
phase, and the ongoing decommissioning
and decontamination, as well as accident
analyses and forensics studies.
As part of TEPCO’s global outreach
activities, I have been hosting weekly
teleconferences to inform interested
parties regarding the latest status and
progress at Fukushima Daiichi since my
stint in Washington, DC in September
2011. Although I will be returning to
Japan in the end of June 2015, I intend
to continue similar outreach efforts, albeit
in a different format and frequency given
the time difference especially with the
U.S.
If there is anyone who wishes to
keep up-to-date with what is happening
at Fukushima Daiichi, please contact
me and I will be happy to add you to the
distribution list for my future information
dissemination activities.
I would also like to take this
opportunity to thank everyone who
has provided me with many invaluable
opportunities (in 200+ events in the past
4 years) for me to share with you the
first hand account and lessons learned
from the Fukushima accident, the current
status of Fukushima Daiichi, and to be
engaged in productive discussions and
exchange of opinions on how the global
nuclear community can collaborate to
enhance nuclear safety.
