to prevent the occurrence of events).
Prevention activities included a High
Impact Team (HIT) and a strong vendor
partnership. The High Impact Team was
comprised of Point Beach and vendor
personnel and focused on issues related
to logistics, scheduling, dose estimates,
maintenance support, and resolving
technical issues.
Transferability
The tooling and inspection processes
usedbyPointBeacharedirectlyapplicable
to other plants within the industry that
are performing similar MRP-227 work.
Several stations from other companies
were on-site to benchmark Point Beach
during this evolution.
