Zephyr® Advanced
Acquisition System is a
visionary eddy current
acquisition system using
intelligent planning, cycle
time optimization and
revolutionary probe delivery.
Field results demonstrated
up to 35 percent reduction
in inspection duration,
which equated to a full day
reduction in the outage
schedule in a recent
application. The unique
approach to probe delivery
enables acquisition of
noise-free data, even in
the U-bend region, and less
wear and tear, doubling
probe life. It also reduces
dose and radioactive waste
by 50 percent as a result of
modified equipment setup
and platform activities.
To accurately translate the
higher quality data into
meaningful information
concerning steam generator
degradation, Westinghouse
developed the TITAN
TM
automated analysis platform,
which is a complete system
approach to analysis. The
TITAN Single Pass Auto
Analysis is the most recent
technology development and
has been field demonstrated,
providing excellent data
correlation. TITAN uses
two independent eddy
current analysis methods
to decrease the potential
for human error while
keeping up to the faster
data acquisition rates
accomplished by Zephyr. It
also reduces production
analysis crew size by
75 percent, requiring only
a single computer and
operator. Westinghouse
is the only vendor able
to perform a single-pass
analysis without a Nuclear
Regulatory Commission
waiver.

equate to safer inspections,
higher quality data with less
risk of error, prolonged probe
life, shorter outage times and
