Nuclear Plant Journal, September-October 2018 NuclearPlantJournal.com 41 Communications Digital Plant Viewer was presented at 201 7 Innovation Expo in Washington D.C, and won first place in the investigation/implementation category. This innovation has been presented in many Exelon internal publications including the Inside Nuclear newsletter, and public web promotions of the Exelon innovation Expo. Prior to rollout at Calvert Cliffs and Peach Bottom, promotional materials and videos were made that were distributed in site communications. As each revision of plant viewer was released, the Digital Plant Innovation Team was on site to communicate directly with the site. These promotions even included innovative promotional methods such as custom wrapped candy bars, contests, and live demonstrations in key plant areas utilizing touchscreens. Vision & Leadership Exelon has demonstrated exceptional leadership by championing the use of data visualization solutions throughout its nuclear facilities. Over the past year the Digital Plant Viewer has received strongly positive reviews from all levels of the Exelon organization. Further plans for the viewer include adding additional functionality such as incorporating laser scan data into the interface which will enable measurement capability. Such an enhancement will greatly increase access to this information, as no software installation is required on the PC in order to use Digital Plant Viewer. Digital Plant Viewer is the first of a line of solutions from the Digital Plant Innovation teamwhich will be deployed in the 2018 – 2019 timeframe.
