(formerly Schneider Sheet Metal) is the largest Safet y Related HVAC designer / fabricator / supplier / installer in the United States. SSM entered the nuc lear industry over forty (40) years ago as the metal fabricat ion d ivision of Schneider Power . The Power Divis ion of SSM Industr ies Inc. provides design, qualif icat ion, fabrication, and installat ion support to ut ilit ies in today's nuclear market. Over $ 100 million of safety and non-safety related HVAC ductwork and components have been designed, tested and fabricated by our existing personnel at our facilit y. We have supplied equipment to virtually every Commercial Nuc lear plant in the United States, as well as Nuclear Plants wor ldwide. SSM Industries fabricates and installs an average of over 5 million pounds of ductwork a year to facilities inc luding Commercial Nuclear Power Plants, Department of Energy (DOE) facilit ies, laboratories and hospital s. Our nuclear qualif ied product line extends f rom the fan to the dif fuser, and all the HVAC products in between. Together with Westinghouse and CB&I, we were a part of the design team responsible for completing the AP1000 Containment Building HVAC Duct and Supports system. In addition, we are fabr icat ing and installing ductwork for new ongoing domest ic nuc lear construct ion as well as supplying HVAC equipment . SSM maintains a complete 10 CFR 50 / NQA -1 ( inc luding all Supplements) Qualit y Assurance Program. SSM is listed in the NUPIC data base as a pre-qualif ied vendor to supply Safety Related HVAC equipment and services, including the commercial dedicat ion of components fabricated by others, to all commercial nuc l ear plants.
