Difficult assembly and small working spaces are just a few of the challenges that surface with nuclear
facilities. Whether it’s building a new facility from scratch or carrying out repair/service work, it’s
important that you have the right equipment for the job and that all sensitive components are handled
safely and gently. Failure to do so can result in expensive downtimes, personal injuries, and damage to the
environment.
That’s why Lifting Gear Hire works hard
every day to provide customers the best quality lifting
equipment for rental.
They accomplish this
by going well beyond the limit in its commitment to the
legal or statutory obligations in the inspection, maintenance, and testing of all equipment. Additionally,
they always provide
customers the right tools at the right time and in the right quantity for lifting and
assembling the heaviest of loads, even in critical environments and under cramped conditions, which are
often found and associated with plant building and repair.
With LGH, safety comes first. More importantly, equipment testing should meet the minimum criteria
required by ASME, ANSI, and OSHA standards, but LGH exceeds them. To achieve that goal, LGH has
developed its own range of testing equipment in order to best stimulate equipment working conditions
as closely as possible to real-life situations. This includes having added more safety testing equipment,
including a 300,000-pound dynamic horizontal proof-test machine and a 125,000-pound heavy-duty load
cell vertical proof-testing machine. By adding this equipment to its distribution centers, LGH is proving
its commitment to providing customers with the safest rental equipment in the industry. Additionally,
customers can obtain safety certifications for their rented equipment directly from LGH.
Safety goes behind the equipment, though. Safe equipment is only as safe as the people inspecting,
maintaining, and testing it. That makes training another crucial part of reaching safety goals and ensuring
their customer’s safety. All LGH staff members are trained through 6 levels, a minimum of 90 hours,
which is a level unsurpassed in the field.
